Prerequisites[]
Please make sure you meet following requirements before proceeding with installation:
- A JIRA Server instance with a valid license.
- Chrome, Firefox or Safari browsers.
Internet Explorer (Edge) is supported as well, but with some minor bugs.
Installing QaSpace[]
- Log in to JIRA as a user with the JIRA System Administrators global permissions.
- Go to Settings -> Add-ons -> Find new add-ons
- Find QaSpace in the list of available add-ons and click the Install button. NB! If you have already had the installed QaSpace plugin, go to Settings -> Add-ons -> Manage add-ons uninstall the previous version of QaSpace before.
- You can also upload the downloaded plugin via the "Upload add-on" link button in Jira administration/Add-ons/Manage section.
- You can download the latest version of the plugin from the marketplace page.
- Wait while add-on will be installed.
- To verify everything is fine, make sure the "Tests" tab menu shows up in the top-level navigation bar.
Test your QaSpace installation[]
Click on Tests button on main JIRA menu bar to start using the plugin.
"Test" issue type is introduced to JIRA (allows entering test-cases to the Jira project).
Enable QaSpace[]
Installation of QaSpace makes it available for all projects on target JIRA environment, but for each project you need to execute one more extra step for enabling QaSpace.
- Log in to JIRA as user with Project Administarator permission for target project.
- Open the Cog menu at the top right of your JIRA window, click Projects and select target project.
- Find Test Management section in the left bottom of administration page.
- Click QaSpace Enable.
Disable QaSpace[]
To disable QaSpace:
- Log in as a user with the JIRA System Administrators global permission.
- Open the Cog menu at the top right of your JIRA window and click Add-ons.
- Find QaSpace in the list of available add-ons and click the Manage button.
- Click the Disable button.
NOTE: Perform QaSpace Health Check after disabling >> enabling QaSpace plug-in in order to resolve conflicts which could have happen while plug-in was disabled.
Uninstall QaSpace[]
To disable QaSpace:
- Log in as a user with the JIRA System Administrators global permission.
- Open the Cog menu at the top right of your JIRA window and click Add-ons.
- Find QaSpace in the list of available add-ons and click the Manage button.
- Click the Uninstall button.
- Download new version of plug-in from marketplace page
- Click Upload add-on and choose downloaded file.
